What is a "Brick"?

A "Brick" is most traditionally defined as a shot that falls short of its target and makes a painful rattle noise as it collides with the rim at a high velocity. Generally, not the desired result, but can be fun in certain circles.

Why does a giant brick fall out of the sky from time to time.

See "Brick" definition. If you have met this condition too many times, this serves as a subtle reminder that you need to put a little more power on your shots to get them to the basket. From time to time it will actually get stuck in the hoop for a few seconds. While this may present a dilemma to the novice player, there have been reports that a well placed shot might knock it out so you may continue.

What are the power-ups and what do they do?

Power-ups and a little luck are the keys to insane scores. Power-ups are rewards for hitting multiple shots in a row. Once you enter a hot streak, hit a few more and a random bonus will appear below the basket. Make another shot before it disappears and you will gain one of the following advantages:

- Time Freeze: Stops the countdown clock for 10 seconds
- 2X Points: Each shot you make (2s or 3s) will count as double
- Perfect Shots: You will not miss the basket for 10 seconds, so fire away!

What is the Lite version of Hoopster?

The Lite version is a free App on the iTunes store that gives players the opportunity to shoot around as much as they want in our practice court. The Quick Shots game and score board system can only be obtained by buying the full version. This gives people the ability to test the game play mechanics and see the great 3D graphics before they decide to step up and compete.

If a game stops while loading and returns the Home Screen, what should I do?

You should try restarting your device and loading Hoopster again. This error is most likely caused when lots of applications have been run since the last time the device was restarted. We have extensively tested on both the iPod 2G/3G and iPhone 2G/3G with software version 2.2 and above, so this is most likely memory leaks from other applications that have built up over time.

I just got a great score but I'm not connected to the Net, what do I do?

Hoopster 1.1 has added the ability to save one score to the device for each difficulty level. So if you managed to score 4,587 points on the rookie level of Quick Shots and press submit at the end of the round, the game will detect if you are not connected and give you the option to save that score. If you play again and follow the same options, you will overwrite your old score for that difficulty level. You can submit your saved scores from the Menu >> High Scores >> World screen when you have established a connection again.
